Wrapped up in the color of neon, the Kemp Auto Museum in Chesterfield, Missouri was flooded with beautiful décor and excited faces as the 2014 Pujols Family Foundation Autumn Prom came underway. On Friday, October 24th top hats and sparkling dresses came strutting down the red carpet as they were cheered on by tons of supporters and volunteers. Everyone in attendance came dressed to the nines. Not only were the outfits glamorous but so were the hairstyles. Hair Saloon for Men provided free haircuts for any of the young men attending the Prom and Julius Monroe Salon & Spa and Hair Theater provided up-do’s for many of the ladies in attendance.

Everyone was ready to eat and party the night away with the energetic music of the Smash Band. As usual, the food stations were one of the most popular features, especially the empanadas made by the staff at Pujols Kitchen. The lines quickly formed at the photo booths from Grayward Entertainment and the amazing balloon creations from Way Cool Balloons. Everyone went home with wonderful keepsake pictures and awesome elaborate balloon hats.

St. Louis Cardinals mascot Fredbird stole the show when he showed up but the best surprise was AJ Pujols walking his sister, Bella down the red carpet, followed by Albert and Deidre Pujols. Albert Pujols was not the only celebrity in attendance, former St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Kyle McClellan and his wife Bridget were there dancing the night away with everyone. They came out in support of the PFF and to have a great night with all in attendance.

To most people, prom has served as a major milestone in their life. However, to the attendees of this special annual evening, it means much more. This prom is not just for high school teenagers, it is for those whom, otherwise, may not ever have the opportunity to experience an evening such as this. These events provide individuals an opportunity to interact with one another and to enjoy the things they love most – music, dancing, fun and each other. The excitement has yet to fade even though The Pujols Family Foundation’s Autumn Prom has reached its eighth year, and according to those in attendance, it never will.
