Melody UngureanuProgram Coordinator Southern California
Melody Ungureanu is the Southern California Program Coordinator for the Pujols Family Foundation. Melody was born and raised in Southern California and graduated as a NCAA-Division 1 student athlete from the University of California, Irvine. She received her BA in Social Sciences/Social Studies, with a minor in Education in 2003 and completed her graduate studies, with a MS in Special Education in 2010.
Melody started her teaching career at Soka University in 2004 and continues teaching high school Special Education in Southern California. She is also involved at her church and volunteers at a local charitable organization.
Melody’s role in the Foundation as Program Coordinator is to manage Southern California based programs and events that support the mission, ”Faith, Family, and Others.” She has a passion and goal to create extraordinary life experiences and opportunities for individuals with Down syndrome.
Melody cites one of her favorite Bible verses as inspiration for her foundation work: Colossians 3:23 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.”
