Albert a Big 'Hit' at YMCA-Sponsored Baseball Clinic
This camp was a collaboration between the YMCA of Greater St. Louis – the Pujols Family Foundation – and Washington University, for Coaches, Managers and parents, as well as student athletes between the ages of 8 and 18.
The clinic ran from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2006, at Washington University’s Field House. The clinic featured Mr. Ric Lessmann, Head Baseball Coach for Washington University and Albert Pujols.
Coach Lessmann worked through the fundamentals of pitching, throwing and fielding, while Pujols and Coach Lessmann gave an extensive hitting clinic. The Pujols Family Foundation received a generous donation of $30,000 for our part in this event.
Special thanks to Tom McCoy and Mel Elliott of the St. Louis YMCA. We also want to thank our sponsors Coca- Cola and Dominos Pizza for providing a great lunch.

On January 7, 2006, the Pujols Family Foundation and the YMCA of Greater St. Louis hosted a one-day baseball camp.
This camp was a collaboration between the YMCA of Greater St. Louis – the Pujols Family Foundation – and Washington University, for Coaches, Managers and parents, as well as student athletes between the ages of 8 and 18.
