Cold Stone Serves Employment Opportunties
2.22.06
The Pujols Family Foundation has been working
with Kevin Garrett, local franchise owner of
The Cold Stone Creamery to become a city leader
in the hiring of competent young adults with
Down Syndrome to work in their stores.
Kevin
says "We are very proud to be a part of
this initiative to bring more positive awareness
to the Down syndrome community, while giving
employment to capable young people with disabilities."
This is just one more way the PFF and business
owners are making progress, one step at a time.
Scheduled for the first part of April, Cold
Stone Creamery will open a new store directly
across from the St. Louis Galleria at 16 The
Boulevard St. Louis (by Crate and Barrel). Fifty
percent of all the ice cream sales on Grand
Opening Day will be donated to the Pujols Family
Foundation.
Five dollars also will be donated to the Foundation
for every ice cream cake sold prior to the Grand
Opening. Cakes may be picked up at the store
anytime within 6 months. Anyone requesting more
information or wanting to order a cake, please
send an e-mail to: cjmhack654@aol.com
