On May 5th, 2007 the Pujols Family Foundation celebrated its 2nd birthday! On 5/5/2005, the dreams of Albert and Deidre Pujols became reality and since that time, God has blessed thousands of children and families through the work of the Foundation.
On this date, the Pujols Family Foundation is celebrating the beginning of a new project: The building of a vocational school at the Orfanato Niños de Cristo in La Romana, Dominican Republic.
Joining Albert and Deidre Pujols on the field that day were PFF Staff members, Todd Perry, Executive Director and Dana Ashley, Program Manager, as well as Ann Vasquez, representing the Orfanato Niños de Cristo from La Romana, Dominican Republic. To continue sowing into the lives of these precious children, the Pujols Family Foundation presented a check in the amount of $65,000 to complete the building of the Vocational School for the Orfanato Niños de Cristo.
After the on-field presentation, several friends and members of the Down syndrome community celebrated with the PFF in a private suite with great food and birthday cake.
