SUMMARY:Basketball Clinics
DESCRIPTION:The Pujols Family Foundation will be hosting two Basketball Clinics for people with Down syndrome age 15 and older. The clinics will be on Sunday\, November 5th\, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and Monday\, November 6th\, from 6:00pm – 7:45pm at Missouri Baptist University in St. Louis\, Missouri (One College Park Drive\, St. Louis\, MO 63141). This will be taking place at the Lacey Gym located inside the Carl and Deloris Petty Sports and Recreation Complex. Fundamental basketball skills will be taught through these clinics. \nThe clinics will also serve as tryouts for the 2018 Albert’s All-Star Basketball team that will be playing on Sunday\, January 28th\, 2018 at Missouri Baptist University at Albert’s Basketball All-Star Game. You child may still participate in the clinics even if they are not interested in trying out for the team. Please indicate when you arrive. You do not need to sign up ahead of time\, you will just need to show up ready to play. Please wear athletic shorts\, t-shirts and good tennis/basketball shoes (non-skid). \nThe top 12 athletes will be selected to be part of Albert’s All-Star team. For the safety of the players and for the integrity of this exhibition\, the coach’s committee will be looking for players who are athletic\, can dribble\, shoot\, and keep up with the pace of the game. The coaches will have final say on the selection of the 12 participants. We are looking forward to putting together a great team that can demonstrate to the community the talents and abilities of these wonderful young adults.
