SUMMARY:Catch 22 Miracle League
DESCRIPTION:The Catch 22 Miracle League exists so that any child with a disability has the opportunity to play baseball/softball. The league currently runs both a spring and a fall season. The Catch 22 Miracle League is a parent-run organization and the league does not charge a participation fee for the players. The league has received its funding through the sale of St. Louis Cardinals Baseball tickets which the Cardinals organization has graciously provided at a generous discount to the league. \nCatch 22 was started in 2006 after the 2005 dedication of the Chesterfield Missouri field. The league is currently finishing up the 2012 Spring season which started on Wednesday\, April 11th and ended on Wednesday\, June 22nd. The league maintained a format of dedicating Wednesdays to skill development starting at 6:30 pm and game play on Saturdays with games starting at 10:00 a.m. We ended the season by playing with local Special Olympic teams on our final three Wednesdays. These final games were very fun and provided excitement for 45 local ball players with disabilities. We hope to use these games to establish a six week league for ball players with special needs. League signups will be available starting August 5th for the fall season. This season starts the Wednesday after Labor Day. You can sign up by calling or emailing the contacts at the bottom of this page. \nThe Miracle League is also holding a two day clinic to be run in August. \nYou can follow the Catch 22 Miracle League at www.catch22miracleleague.org and on Facebook. Check Facebook throughout the year for pictures from the league. \nThe Catch 22 Miracle League is currently conducting its yearly fundraiser by selling St. Louis Cardinals Tickets.
