DESCRIPTION:<►>\n			\n	\n\n\n\nBy: Crystal Rowland \nOn Sunday\, October 20\, 2013\, the Pujols Family Foundation Hitters and Splitters Event made its debut in Southern California. Concourse Bowl of Anaheim hosted over 250 participants and family members for a day of bowling\, fun and food. Our bowlers came ready to strike their hearts out without any excitement to spare! \nOur participants were eager to get out there and show us their stuff! Many of our friends came prepared with their own shoes\, bowling balls\, and skills! They were greeted at the door and received a Pujols Family Foundation hat\, provided by PromoteThis. Excitement and camaraderie filled the air as a sea of red Albert Pujols shirts took over the lanes. \nOur Program Director\, Melody Ungureanu warmly welcomed families to their day at Concourse Bowl. The lights went down\, the music turned up and it was time to bowl!  Strikes were being thrown left and right\, friends were sharing their techniques\, and an aura of joy filled the air as our bowlers enjoyed unlimited games in the arcade as well. \nIn between games\, our participants and their families had the opportunity to personally animate their experience through flip booking\, which allows guests to create a flipbook of wild photos they have taken throughout the night. Dressing up\, posing\, and dancing with friends made for some very memorable moments\, provided by A Little Scene. \nYou could also find guests huddled around our talented balloon artist\, Malinda Campbell from Twist-A-Lot Balloons. Her energy and artistry was a huge hit for all.  Balloon hats\, headbands\, characters and animals could be seen all around the alley. Smiles and laughs were shared as our participants showed off their cool new fashions. \nFamilies were also treated to a variety of food throughout the night. Concourse Bowl provided delicious pizza\, salad and drinks. For a sweet treat\, our guests were able to snack on plenty of delectable cookies provided by DoubleTree of Anaheim. \nThe time flew as bowlers\, family\, friends\, staff and volunteers participated in the various activities so generously provided. The energy was electric and there were smiles on every face. Our guests made new friends and reconnected with old ones. Before we knew it we were hugging and saying our goodbyes to our honored guests. \nOn their way out\, our participants left with a bag of goodies which included gift certificates and vouchers provided by Concourse Bowl\, The Habit\, and Yogurtland. They also received Albert Pujols wristbands from GameWear and bumper stickers from the Pujols Family Foundation. \nWe feel so blessed to have spent this beautiful afternoon with our amazing families.
