DESCRIPTION:The Pujols Family Foundation is pleased to welcome two new board members for 2009. \nJeanette Bax-Kurtz\, CPA \nJeanette Bax-Kurtz is a graduate of University of Missouri\, St. Louis with a B.S.B.A. concentration in Accounting and a Minor in Mathematics. She is a Certified Public Accountant in the States of Missouri\, Illinois and Nebraska and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mrs. Bax-Kurtz has over twenty-four years experience as a Certified Public Accountant and is a respected and sought after speaker and instructor in her field. She has been with MPP&W\, P.C. for twenty years and is an owner/shareholder with the firm. \nJeanette’s position as Director of Regulatory and Not-for-Profit Services at MPP&W\, P.C. allows her the opportunity to serve the industry about which she is passionate: the not-for-profit industry. Her considerable knowledge base has been the source of assistance for many directors\, trustees\, government agencies\, owners and legal consultants in solving challenges in the ever changing not-for-profit world. \nIn addition to her professional affiliations\, Jeanette is dedicated to serving where she is needed. She sits on the board at a local bank\, is a trustee at her church and chairs the second phase of their capital campaign\, and works with another church on their legacy program. She is also the vice-president of an elderly services and housing development organization. Jeanette and her husband\, Mark\, are raising two children and\, as a family\, devote a considerable amount of time as volunteers to a variety of charitable organizations. \nNorv Beffa \nNorv Beffa is the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Gwins Corporate Travel. Gwins is St. Louis’s largest travel management company and has been a long time supporter of the Foundation’s. Norv has been in the travel industry for the past 20 years\, and has served on various travel industry vendor Advisory Boards. He has held management positions with Maritz Travel and Carlson Wagonlit Travel. Prior to that\, Norv worked in advertising. \nMr. Beffa has been involved in fund raising for many local organizations\, and has Chaired various events for organizations such as the Marshall Faulk Foundation\, The Torry Holy Foundation\, The Edgewood Children Center and the St. Patrick Center. \nThe Pujols Family Foundation is very proud to have Jeanette and Norv as an active part of our Board of Directors for 2009. Their heart for service is greatly appreciated.
