2015 Batter Up! Cooking Classes – Southern California

I am so grateful to the Pujols Family Foundation for holding these wonderful cooking experiences. Last Saturday my Mom & I were able to attend the International Culinary School at the Art Institute of California-Orange County and assist with preparation our meal.
Under the guidance of Chef Michael Backouris and staff we learned the correct way to hold a sharp knife safely and properly slice, chop & season the foods for our meal.
We watched as Chef Michael seared the meat before placing in the oven.
After preparing all the vegetables for the salad, appetizer and entree we sat and chatted while they cooked to perfection. Yummy, the food was served and it was delicious.
At my cooking class in school we only prepare one item a class. Here we enjoyed the entire meal including dessert. As soon as it cools down I hope to make this meal again for my family.
