Jeanette Bax-Kurtz – Treasurer
Partner and Director of Not-for-Profit and Regulatory Services
Jeanette began her career in public accounting in 1985 and has more than 30 years of experience in assurance services and auditing; risk assessment services; internal control reporting and assessments; and compliance services. She has extensive experience in HUD, Uniform Guidance (formerly A-133), affordable housing, healthcare, and senior housing and communities. Her experience and expertise spans across numerous industries including not-for-profit, construction, and healthcare.
In addition to her work in audit, tax and consulting, she specializes in financing issues and tax credits. Her depth of experience includes bonds, HUD loans, Federal and State grants, low-income housing tax credits (LIHTC), new market tax credits, youth opportunity program credits (YOP), neighborhood assistance programs (NAP) and other credits. She works on state-wide organizations, nation-wide organizations, and serves clients in five of the seven continents.
Her focus on highly-regulated industries also makes Jeanette a sought after educator and speaker. She frequently teaches courses for the AICPA, conducts seminars for Allinial Global, and is a guest lecturer at various universities.
Education and Accreditation
Jeanette has a Bachelor of Science Degree, Business Administration, from the University of Missouri – St. Louis. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Missouri, California, Florida, Illinois, and Nebraska.
