Pujols Family Foundation & Cardinals Care Bring Home Run Derby to St. LouisApril 26, 2018
ST. LOUIS, MO – The Pujols Family Foundation, in partnership with Cardinals Care, is excited to announce the St. Louis Home Run Derby, sponsored by My Brand Promo.
This home run derby style fundraising event has been held by the Pujols Family Foundation in Nashville, TN for the past two years. This year, the foundation is ready to take the event to baseball heaven–St. Louis.
The St. Louis Home Run Derby will give participants, ages 9-99, a turn in the batter’s box and the opportunity to claim the title of St. Louis Home Run Champion. Participants will raise money to earn more time in the batter’s box–more time equals more opportunity to hit one out of the park.
Qualifying events will be held in four locations in the Greater St. Louis area: O’Fallon (IL), St. Peters, Kirkwood, and St. Louis. The top hitters from each qualifier (by age group) will move on to the finals, to be held at Busch Stadium, home of the St. Louis Cardinals.
The event is doing more than just giving ball players a chance to be a home run champion–it is bringing the St. Louis community together in a unique way. Because participants will range widely in age, the Pujols Family Foundation is engaging grade schools, high schools, colleges, little league organizations, select club teams, companies and a variety of other community partners. The unifying factor? A love of baseball, and a desire to give back to the St. Louis community.
In keeping with the mission of the Pujols Family Foundation, there will be a Down syndrome division, where anyone with Down syndrome can participate in the event free of charge.
All funds raised from the St. Louis Home Run Derby will benefit the Pujols Family Foundation and Cardinals Care.
