On Sunday, September 7, 2014, the Pujols Family Foundation and Brunswick Zone in Chesterfield hosted the annual Hitter’s and Splitters Father/Son Bowling Event. With 225 attendees, the event was a wonderful success. This special event not only offered time for fathers and sons to spend together but also allowed friendships to form and a community to come together in support of one another. The guests were eager to jumpstart the fun-filled evening.

After signing in, participants headed straight for the food that was generously donated by the participating companies. Participants of this event enjoyed Papa John’s pizza, Coldstone Creamery ice cream, McAlister’s Deli cookies, and Raising Cane’s chicken fingers. Guests then made their way to the bowling lanes where they had time to pick up their bowling shoes, balls, and also meet the other Father and Son bowlers. Bowling was just one of the many amazing highlights of the evening at the Hitters and Splitters Father Son Bowling event. The continuous line coming from the Way Cool Balloons booth was proof that this special event had much more to offer than just bowling.  Way Cool Balloon’s incredible creations ranged from Despicable Me Minions to fully wearable sky-high hat costumes that fascinated and impressed us and our guests! Attendees also spent time making memories to remember at Grayward Entertainment’s photo booth, where guest lined up to have their pictures made with all of the fun accessories.

No one was ready for the night to end but their disappointment was put at ease when the gift bags were handed out. To top off the event, guests received an awesome gift bag that contained an Albert Pujols bobblehead, an Albert Pujols figurine, an Albert Pujols action figure, a Kid’s Chat God’s Spirit book, a Pujols #5 red gamewear leather baseball bracelet, a gift card from Stir Crazy for a free appetizer or dessert, a free cookie voucher and two free kid’s meal cards from McAlister’s Deli, a free food voucher from Chipotle, and two summer passes for two free games of bowling a day from Brunswick Zone.

Everyone agreed that the Hitters and Splitters event was a tremendous success. This event provided families with a wonderful opportunity to connect, share stories, and form friendships. Toward the end of the event, it was clear just how important the Hitters & Splitters event was to everyone who participated.
